In 1902 a cartoon appeared in newspapers about President Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt's refusal to shoot a bear during a hunting trip. Soon, a new phrase caught on, and toy bears were called Teddy Bears!

Teddy Bear Tea

Dress up and bring your very special teddy bear for a festive children’s tea in the elegant Callanwolde mansion!

Enjoy the spirit of the holidays in the beautifully decorated historic mansion. Charming tabletops, tea and hot chocolate, sandwiches, pastries, live entertainment and admission to tour the decorated home will highlight this delightful afternoon for families. Santa and his Elves will make a special visit along with time to tell the jolly elf your holiday wish in person. Remember to bring a camera to capture those picture perfect moments at the event.

Sundays. December 9 and 16 at 3 p.m. in the Courtyard.
Tickets: $25 Adults; $25 Children (includes general admission)
Tickets by advance reservation only.

Only 4 children per adult please. Children should be age 4 and above. Children taking a seat are charged full-price admission.
